EMIMONSTER
Emi Giovannini is an Italian artist who creates sweet, weird and loveable characters. Her work often takes the form of enamel pins (colourful little monsters and animals with big personalities) that have found their way into the hands of collectors around the world. She graduated with honours from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, then moved to the UK in 2018 where she started her small business and began turning her drawings into tangible, wearable art. A lot of her collectors are based in the US, where pin lovers build huge display boards or wear their favourite pieces to festivals. Emi takes most of her inspiration from animals, especially insects, reptiles, and amphibians. She’s always been drawn to the details and textures of the natural world and that love comes through in the creatures she designs. Her work carries a mix of curiosity, gentleness and a touch of strangeness. These days she works from her studio in the UK, creating enamel pins, art prints, stickers and original art. Her designs are playful and emotional with a slightly odd twist. Everything is drawn and packaged with care for the people who connect with her little world.
